Environmental Statement

At Stance Healthcare, we strive to be a good steward of our natural resources. Our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our manufacturing processes are seen in many areas, most notably in the following:

Wood Components

• Material is supplied by a FSC accredited vendor, meaning that wood is sourced from sustainable forests
• Waste is shredded and used for animal bedding in agricultural sector

• All metal waste is recycled for re-use
• Steel inner seat frames are recyclable and are finished in a lead free powder coat with zero VOC and solvents. Excess powder is reclaimed and re-used

• There are no CFC'S, adhesives or formaldehyde used in any of our polyurethane foam products
• Oasis seating foam is a renewable resource foam based on an agriculturally derived Polyol at 20% concentration
• We primarily use molded foam thus virtually eliminating waste
• Molded foam is created using chemical reaction temperature as opposed to external heat source
• Waste from molded foam is supplied to a local pillow-stuffer, thus diverting it from landfill site
• Where cut foam is used, waste is sent back to supplier, who then recycles and converts it into carpet underlay

• We promote only upholstery products that are produced from 100% recycled fiber, bio-based fiber, or natural, compostable fiber and PVC-free upholstery
• Seat webbing is produced with polyester yarn made from recycled plastic bottles

  • We use only water-based adhesives that conform to environmental regulations. We will continue to explore environmentally friendly initiatives, and pledge to utilize these initiatives in our manufacturing processes wherever possible
