A Note from Carl
Christmas is fast approaching, marking the end of another remarkable year for the Stance Healthcare team, including our design partners and Sales Representatives around the country. In 2024, the healthcare furniture industry recognized Stance with several new accolades, none of which would be possible without the right team powering this defining moment for our brand. Before I reflect on the many ways our company served the industry this year, I first want to thank each one of you personally for the way you represent Stance through your work and lives.
As a company rooted in healthcare from the start, and now with the broadest product offering the industry, we are continually thoughtful about ways to build on our specialized approach to the healthcare market. Our 2024 acquisition of the Plural Studios brand enabled us to translate three high-quality, award-winning products designed specifically for healing environments. The Rochester Lounge & Sleeper Collection, Ventura Casework, and Flora Modular Collection all exemplify our commitment to blending form and function; elevating healthcare spaces to new standards of comfort and efficiency.
Further to this, our Flo collection continues to exceed expectations and increase in popularity. In fact, to meet this year’s high demand for the series, we were forced to invest in additional molds – an expensive but good problem to have. This investment confirms that Flo is not only here to stay, but will continue growing to meet future needs. Flo Lounge was an immediate award-winner at its October debut during this year’s Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, where it took home the Nightingale Gold Award for Behavioral Health Furnishings! We’re looking forward to introducing 4 additional Flo products soon, including a much-anticipated Rocker.
Speaking of the HCD conference, it was our biggest and most impactful appearance there yet. Our team was proud to host attendees and exhibit our products in our largest booth space to date. And, for the first time we introduced a fun and engaging educational event, in which Suzanne Fawley served ‘bites and bits’ about Behavioral Health design best practices. Suzanne was one of several team members who worked hard to make Stance shine at HCD 2024. I want to give a very special thanks to our other HCD magic-makers, Christy Evangelista, Tracey Heimpel, Cesar Fernandes and Sawyer Levack for your exceptional work before, during, and after this amazing event.
The 2024 HCD award-winning Flo Lounge, along with the three new Plural products, represent four of nine total new releases from Stance this year. Our signature, dual emphasis on comfort and durability shined through in each new product we brought to market together. The versatile Abrazo Seating Collection, Lotus Casegoods, and Podium Series – which debuted as both a Lounge and Sleep Sofa offering –joined our expanding lineup alongside three new nature-inspired finishes: Pebble, Sand and Chestnut.
In addition to a successful HCD show, we also exhibited at the 2024 Healthcare Facilities Symposium and Expo and were honored when our Lotus Collection took home the award for Most Sustainable Product. This was a nice reward for our commitment to innovation and the improvement of the mental healthcare experience.
Sustainability is core to who we are as a company, and where we are making considerable investments in the future. It’s important that this continues to be a commitment we each embrace through small and big practices; that’s why we are excited to announce that as our new Director of Sustainability, Rebecca Merner will keep our team-wide focus on environmental sustainability strong.
Your commitments to charitability, sustainability, and continuous improvement are all reflective of how we all embrace Stance’s core values together to be the best team and company we can be. Together, we are building the Stance that a growing healthcare industry needs – offering thoughtful products that not only stand the test of time, but support comfort and healing in places often unexpected.
From our new warehouse improvements, which set a new standard for operational excellence, to the countless team opportunities for community service this year, I am proud of who we are as a team and brand.
With all the momentum that this year built, in many ways, we are just getting started. But in these final weeks of the year, we reflect, pause, take a much-deserved rest. Here’s to all of you, and all that we have built together!
Warm regards, Carl |
