A Note from Our CEO

A Year of Impact

Dear Stance partners,

As we enter a new year, I reflect on Stance Healthcare’s remarkable journey in 2023. This past year has been characterized by significant moments of community support, the attainment of excellence in healthcare design, and a strategic acquisition that signals our commitment to innovation and progress.

Stance’s momentum persisted in 2023 as we strategically acquired Plural Studios, renowned for crafting adaptive furniture across healing, business, learning, and hospitality sectors. This acquisition signals the company’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve and integrating cutting-edge design elements into our portfolio. The acquisition also signifies a collaboration of like-minded individuals striving to impact an industry we cherish.

Our mission, “Improving Lives by Design,” underscores Stance’s belief that the healthcare environment profoundly influences patient care and outcomes. Our award-winning furniture collections, recognized in 2023, epitomize this commitment. The Podium Lounge collection  secured a Nightingale Silver Award for its versatility in diverse healthcare settings. In contrast, the Lotus Case Goods collection  received the Nightingale Gold Award and an Innovation Award for seamlessly blending aesthetics, functionality, and environmental consciousness.

In 2023, various non-profit organizations received support from our dedicated team at Stance. We participated in the Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament and donated furniture to the Daymark Recovery Services for mental health and addiction treatment. Our commitment to societal well-being was evident through our partnership with the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, fundraising for the Cambridge Shelter, and participation in a food drive for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, resulting in 7,000 meals to those in need. We supported a charity concert for champions with special needs hosted by Fierce N Fit. Stance’s dedication to community welfare included volunteer efforts by staff members with Habitat for Humanity, support for AI for Good, contributions to Make-A-Wish Canada and Movember’s initiatives, and the hosting of a toy drive with CTV News Kitchener to build a Toy Mountain for the holiday season.

At Stance Healthcare, we are not just healthcare furniture manufacturers but partners in creating healing environments that prioritize patient well-being. Thank you for your continued support, and we eagerly anticipate another year of positive impact through healthcare design in 2024.
