Volunteering Together: Creating Positive Change
One of the most cherished initiatives at Stance is partnering with charities to make a difference. Stance believes that collaborating with charitable organizations benefits the communities they serve and reflects our core values of improving lives by design. Our joint efforts with these organizations go beyond the act of volunteering; they embody our collective dedication to making the world a better place.
By encouraging our employees to give back to the causes they are passionate about we empower them to have a direct impact. This strengthens our sense of purpose and contributes to developing stronger, more compassionate communities. Whether our team members support local shelters, assist those in need, or dedicate their time to meaningful initiatives, such as volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, picking up litter on Earth Day, or donating toys for the Toy Mountain toy drive, they play an active role in making a positive difference.

Below are the organizations Stance was proud to support in 2023:
● Hockey Helps the Homeless: Proceeds from Stance’s sponsorship of Hockey Helps the Homeless hockey tournament support local organizations with the ultimate goal of ending homelessness.
● Daymark Recovery Services: Stance donated furniture to Daymark Recovery Services, an organization that provides outpatient and psychiatric services for treating mental illness and addiction.
● Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth: Stance sponsors this local organization where palliative individuals and their families are supported through their end-of-life journeys.
● Cambridge Shelter: By raising thousands of dollars for Cambridge Shelter, Stance supported this emergency shelter, offering 80 beds for people experiencing homelessness, as well as a variety of services and programs.
● The Food Bank of Waterloo Region: The Food Bank of Waterloo Region provides emergency food assistance and support throughout the region. Stance participated in a food drive, providing more than 7,000 meals to those who need it most.
● Fierce N Fit: Fierce N Fit uses the sport of boxing and physical exercise to improve the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual lives of those with special needs. Stance sponsored a charity concert for champions with special needs.
● Habitat for Humanity: Stance employees volunteered to build an affordable home for a deserving family in the Waterloo region.
● AI For Good: AI For Good creates technological solutions that measure and advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Stance sponsored an AI For Good event launching the Breast Cancer Awareness “I want you to know” photo campaign.
● Make-A-Wish Foundation: Make-A-Wish Canada works with communities nationwide to allow children with critical illnesses to realize their most heartfelt wishes. Stance sponsored the Abba Revisited Concert fundraising for the organization.
● Movember: Movember is an organization dedicated to transforming the state of men's health. For over 17 years, Movember has supported more than 1250 men's health projects worldwide, challenging traditional research and revolutionizing healthcare delivery to men.
● Toy Mountain: CTV News Kitchener builds a Toy Mountain each year to make holiday dreams come true for kids and families in the community. Stance is one of the many companies hosting a toy drive to support this cause.
