It’s the season of Thanksgiving, and our team has much to be grateful for. In addition to bringing to market nine new releases thoughtfully designed for healthcare spaces, and taking home two new industry awards, our team delivered on another, equally important front: giving back.
As a company rooted in – and laser-focused on – the healthcare industry since our inception, it didn’t take long for us to naturally evolve our brand toward a purpose that ran deeper than simply producing high-quality furniture. Today, our mission of Improving Lives by Design invites each of us to consider ways we can positively impact the community, industry, and ultimately, the world we live and work in.
In big and small ways, our team took this mission to heart this year, pursuing fun and meaningful opportunities to make a charitable impact through their talents, time, and resources. Below are a few highlights from a year that channeled our core values to make a difference:
Stance made a monetary donation to One Day to Empower Women, which helps to transform the lives of women and girls for generations through education and job training and is widely supported by leaders in the furniture industry.
Stance made a material donation including our Cassia lounge chairs, Spry metal chairs, Quantum metal chairs, and Pavilion drum table to OneRoof – Next Steps Housing’s youth-specific living and learning environment that strives to guide its residents into their own self-determination.
Stance donated $20,000 in patient room furniture for the recently-updated Sakura House hospice facility.
Our staff raised $675 through our pie-in-the-face fundraiser benefiting the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
Stance gave back to the environment at our 8th Annual Earth Day Clean Up.
Stance provided a record number of meals for the 10th Annual Food & Fund Drive for Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
Stance was a $2500 sponsor for the Fierce N Fit Sponsorship’s annual charity concert.
Stance employees sorted 1,099lbs of food, which provided 915 meals for families in need, at the Food Bank of Waterloo Sorting Event.
Stance was an $800-level sponsor at the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Tribute Show.
Following the devastation from Hurricane Helene, Stance made a $1000 donation to Operation Airdrop toward relief efforts.
Stance’s mission of improving lives impacted animals as well as people in our community this year: We donated $500 to support a fundraising event being held by Save Me Dog Rescue.
Stance staff raised $655 through our Moustache BINGO Movember campaign event.
Stance donated $2,500 to Easter Seals and a staff member participated in the hockey tournament to raise money for children and youth with physical diabilities across Ontario.
Stance was a Draft Night sponsor for Hockey Helps the Homeless, which supports 6 local charities including oneRoof, House of Friendship, Starling Community Services, Cambridge Shelter Corp, YW of K-W, and our newest addition, The Working Centre.
Stance donated furniture to the Behavioral Health unit of a local hospital, Grand River Hospital.
