Stance's Record Breaking Food Drive10,500+ meals provided to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region
Summer is a time many children look forward to; warm weather, time with friends, and a break from school. But for over 25,000 children in Waterloo Region, the end of the school year also means the loss of daily access to essential nutrition programs. These in-school programs often provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks to kids who might not otherwise have enough to eat. When school takes a break, so do these programs but hunger never takes a vacation.
In June, Stance held its 11th annual food drive in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s Full Bellies, Happy Hearts campaign. This initiative works to ensure that no family in our community goes hungry during the summer months. Our team stepped up once again, donating both food and financial donations to support this important cause. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our employees, we were able to help provide a record-breaking 10,554 meals to families right here in our local community!
