Habitat for Humanity Team Day
On August 13, our team had the opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, assisting in the deconstruction of a build site down to the studs. As part of this sustainable process, we focused on salvaging, repurposing, reusing, and recycling materials to minimize landfill waste. It was a meaningful way for our team to make a tangible impact while supporting environmentally responsible practices.
Throughout the day, team members took on a variety of hands-on projects, including salvaging metal and copper wiring, demolishing and cleaning up a two-story chimney, bundling hardwood for the Habitat ReStore, and even constructing a staircase for an on-site trailer.
Despite the heat and humidity, team morale remained high, fueled by a shared commitment to Habitat’s mission. We’re incredibly grateful for the chance to contribute to such an inspiring organization and to collaborate with the knowledgeable, welcoming Habitat staff who made the experience both productive and enjoyable.
