Rooted in Generosity: A Year of Giving with Stance in 2025

At Stance, we talk a lot about our mission of Improving Lives by Design. This year offered many ways for our team to more deeply consider how we live this mission out, as we navigated unexpected challenges and pursued new opportunities to give back together. At the end of the day, 2025 showed us that our roots in service – to our people, our customers, and the communities we serve – is still the truest way we “walk the talk”.

This year, we continued our commitment to service by pursuing fun and impactful giving opportunities as a team. From donating furniture to facilities that improve patients’ health and wellbeing, to company-wide fundraisers and events that raise awareness and funds for charities close to our hearts and homes, being generous is authentic to who we are. It’s the thread that ties together the fabric of our culture.

Below are highlights from a year of giving at Stance:

  • At the start of the year, Stance made a monetary donation to firefighters in Los Angeles who bravely and tirelessly worked to put out the fires in Southern California.

  • Stance donated furniture to the Grand River Hospital, building on our previous donation in 2024.

  • In March, Stance donated boots, blankets, scarves, and more items to The Bridges Shelter in Cambridge, to help ensure served individuals will have the protection and warmth necessary to tackle cold-weather conditions.

  • At Stance, our commitment to environmental sustainability extends far beyond just one day of cleanup. We are consistently striving to minimize our carbon footprint and incorporate eco-friendly practices into all aspects of our operations. Our annual Earth Day Clean-Up event always receives a lot of participation, and this year’s event continued our tradition of tidying up our local community.

  • oneROOF is a local organization dedicated to providing safety, support and overall well-being for youth in the Waterloo Region, aged 12-25, who are experiencing homelessness and youth who are at-risk of homelessness. Stance participated in their annual Walk-a-Thon in June and donated $500 toward the event.

  • In June, Stance held its 11th annual food drive in support of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region’s Full Bellies, Happy Hearts campaign. This initiative works to ensure that no family in our community goes hungry during the summer months. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our employees, we were able to help provide a record-breaking 10,554 meals to families right here in our local community!

  • Stance donated $1,000 to TEXSAR in July, to support front-line disaster relief workers following the devastating floods in Texas.

  • Stance teammates worked together on a Habitat for Humanity team build project in August. As part of this sustainable process, we focused on salvaging, repurposing, reusing, and recycling materials to minimize landfill waste. It was a meaningful way for our team to make a tangible impact while supporting environmentally responsible practices.

  • We donated $500 to support Make-A-Wish Canada and the incredible work they do in granting life-changing wishes to children facing critical illnesses.

  • In September, Stance was honored to once again support oneROOF through a $500 sponsorship supporting their Real to Reel: A Silver Screen Soiree event. Guests walked the red carpet, sipped on cocktails before settling in to watch The Pursuit of Happyness: a powerful story of a father and son navigating life below the poverty line.

  • Fierce N Fit Boxing is a remarkable organization that uses the sport of boxing and physical exercise to improve the physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual lives of those with special needs. Stance supported Fierce N Fit in September with a $500 sponsorship for the organization’s gala.

  • On October 20th, we were honored to present the proceeds from our recent employee fundraiser to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our team, the fundraiser was a great success and we’re confident the $1,225 donated will go a long way in helping animals in need.

  • Many who attended this year’s HCD industry event with us in October enjoyed participating in a special giving opportunity as we celebrated one of our new product releases. For every HCD conference-goer who rocked in our new Flo Rocker, we pledged $10 toward the National Awareness for Mental Illness (NAMI) organization, resulting in $1,840 raised!

  • Continuing an annual Stance tradition, this year’s Movember donation was $1,500 to help fund research and awareness for men’s health—covering prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.

  • In November, we donated $2,000 to the Easter Seals, which provides essential services to children and adults with disabilities, older adults, veterans, and their families.

  • Coming up in December, we look forward to our annual Toy Drive for the Salvation Army’s Toy Mountain since every child deserves to open a present on Christmas morning.

We are so proud to be a part of a team that works together to give back and inspires those in our industry to do the same. Stay tuned for much more to come in 2026 – a special year for Stance as we celebrate 20 years of service to the industry!
